Spring Book Fair

The Elko County Library is hosting its annual Spring Scholastic Book Fair. With a great selection of books for all ages and interests, the book fair is a perfect opportunity to stock up on books for the summer reading program and your family vacation. Proceeds from the fair go toward craft and program supplies and special events such as Spring Eggstravaganza and Halloween Carnival.

After-School Crafts @ Your Public Library
Apr 4 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Join Elko County Library for some creative fun with “After-School Crafts @ Your Public Library.” These crafts will be held every first and third Wednesday of the month through April 18th. Preregistration is required and there is no cost. This program is designed for children 5 and older. Drop by the library to register, or call 738-3066 for additional information.

In response to community concerns about teen pregnancyand sexually transmitted diseases, Dr. Radhika Sharma will discuss teen healthissues. Everyone is invited to this free event; geared towards parents and teachers butteens are welcome to attend. From Page to Stage: A Series of One Acts

Please join Ghost Light Productions and Silver Stage Players as we present our Series of One Acts!

We have a large variety of short plays directed by local community members, and produced by two local non-profit theatre companies! We will present a kids show, teen show, broad comedies, original works, innovate dramas, and the bizarre! We will have 4 show dates total; 2 of those nights will be a “Family Friendly Night”, and the other will be our “Adult Night” (16 + to attend)

Cave of Mystery: Cave Valley Cave
Apr 7 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

CaveValley Cave, located near Ely, has a long history in connection with severalimportant expeditions, as well as close ties to local Native American groups.The cave was first explored by Euro-Americans in 1858 by the Mormon WhiteMountain Expedition. Later expeditions continued to investigate the cave, anddocumented the cave’s importance in local Native American mythology.

Whatemerges from the history of Cave Valley Cave is a story filled with mystery,intrigue, and a never-ending array of questions. The program is by BLM ElkoDistrict archaeologist Dayna Reale.

Toddler Time
Apr 7 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am

The Elko County Library is offering a Toddler Time on the first Saturday of each month. This program is designed for babies and toddlers through 2 years of age. Adults will interact with their toddler by singing songs, playing, and reading. This is a free program and no registration is required.
