Busy parents can take advantage of PACE Coalition’s annual Summer Activities Fair on Thursday and Friday, May 3 – 4, to enroll children in a variety of summer programs. The fair, held in conjunction with Elko County School District’s kindergarten registration, saves parents time by providing one sign-up location for several youth activities. It helps youth because active kids are more likely to avoid experimenting with alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
This year, the fair is expected to include Scouting, Nevada Outdoor School, Great Basin College Continuing Education and the GBC Fitness Center, and Nevada Early Intervention Services
Fair hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the ECSD board room, 850 Elm Street, Elko, Nev. For more information, call PACE Coalition, (775) 777-3451.
There is still time for additional program providers to reserve free tables at the fair. Call Mike Magney, (775) 777-3451, or email info@pacecoalition.org to reserve a space.
