Continuing in the Western Folklife Center Wiegand Gallery: Basque Aspen Art of the Sierra Nevada, a Jean and Phillip Earl collection of wax-on-muslin images *Special Reception with Jean Earl on June 28, 5:30-6:30 pm*; Images of Basques and Buckaroos in the Ranching West (a portrait library drawing on multiple mediums, from historic to contemporary, accompanied by handcrafted and lovingly-used items from Basque immigrants and their families); and Bertolaritza, Basque Improvised Poetry (an exhibition of images, video and text curated and produced by the Jon Bilbao Basque Library, University of Nevada, Reno).

55th Annual Basque Festival/4th of July Parade @ Official Parade Route

The 55th Annual Basque Festival/ 4th of July Parade will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 11 a.m. with Line Up starting at 10 a.m. at the Crystal Theater.
Our parade will take the official Elko parade route starting at the Crystal Theater and ending at 11th St. where entries can take a left to exit or make their way back to the starting point.
Last day to enter will be Wednesday, June 27th at 7 p.m.
Our Grand Marshal this year is Bob Echeverria and our Theme is 50 Years of Dance
There is no fee to enter and we will have our parade rain or shine!
