Keeping Elko Informed is a big responsibility and Lori Gilbert, KELK’s Award Winning Newscaster, is the one most people turn to for local news.

Lori has been the News Director for Elko Broadcasting Company (KELK/KLKO) since 1983. She is consistently recognized by news organizations for her outstanding contributions to Broadcast Journalism.

The Associated Press recently recognized the KELK/KLKO News Department under her leadership as The News Station of the Year.

For 25 years, her daily half-hour community news program, Elko Live, has provided listeners with first-person news accounts of local, regional and national issues and events.
