The Elko County Democratic Central Committee are hosting a statewide meeting and the bi-annual Roosevelt-Kennedy Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, November 9th at the Elko Conference Center. Central Committee Member Ed Nickle appeared on the program to discuss the events and let listeners know about changes to the First in the West Caucus set for February 2020.
Elko City Police Chief Tyler Trouten and County Sheriff Aitor Narvaiza discussed enforcement issues surrounding an extended closure of non-essential businesses to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The pair also underscored the need for support of those with mental illness and emphasized social distancing and good hygiene practices. Chief Trouten urged OHV safety in city limits.
