The Elko County Library hosts the 31st Annual Spring Fundraiser, “Just Desserts.” The event is Saturday, May 4th from 5:30 until 8 PM at the Library at 720 Court Street. Tickets are available at the library for $15 per person and include a chance at a $500 Cash Door Prize. Proceeds this year will benefit the Elko County Bookmobile which typically travels 30-thousand-miles yearly and makes 27 stops monthly throughout rural Nevada. Nevada Lt. Governor Kate Marshall will oversee economic and workforce development as well as tourism for the state. The former state treasurer hosted a retreat in Elko during the 35th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering to allow department staff to experience one of Nevada’s premier tourism events.
