Police Investigate Suspected Meth-Fueled Attack

A West Wendover woman is accused of attacking her roommate with a kitchen knife and a screwdriver on St. Patrick’s Day. Police were called to an apartment on a report of domestic violence and found the alleged victim with stab wounds to his neck and abdomen. The victim told investigators he believed his roommate was under the influence of methamphetamine. The injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

The suspect was identified as Crystal Sherry Luscan. Crystal, 46, had barricaded herself inside the apartment prior to officers arriving. According to police, after trying to talk Crystal into opening the door failed, officers made entry into the residence. The suspect was “Tased” by officers when she allegedly failed to follow commands and drop an object that she was holding. Crystal was taken into custody without further incident. There were no reports of injuries to officers or to Crystal.

Crystal was booked on a felony count of battery with a deadly weapon into the Elko County Jail. A search warrant was later served on the residence that allowed officers to recover both weapons used. Bail was set at 50-thousand-dollars.
