Snowfall Welcome

(Elko) – Snowfall amounts varied throughout Elko County from a winter storm that rolled through February 4-6. The National Weather Service reported 4-inches at the Elko office while Lamoille received some 17-inches of wet snow. Spring Creek got between 7-9 inches of snow. The next winter storm is expected this weekend with varied amounts of accumulation and temperatures sinking to single digits overnight.

Recent snows left several inches of moisture-laden snow across the region. Expect single-digit overnight lows settling in through early February.

Cold combined with moisture creates pogonip.
