Elko City Utilities Director Dale Johnson discussed the upcoming Elko City Council meeting and outlined the city water modernization plan slated to begin in 2025. The city has authorized a $14-milliion dollar bond to install water meters through the city for all residential and commercial water subscribers. The city is also undergoing an examination of the sewer infrastructure to detect blockages, leaks or areas in need of repair.
