Elko City Manager Jan Baum and Elko City Clerk Annette Robinson were guests for the city update. Numerous issues were discussed ranging from progress on the Shady Elms Mobile Home Park clean up to a request for proposals to design a new Elko City Hall. The Elko City Council will hold a public hearing during today’s regular meeting that could result in the revocation of a brothel license at Sue’s Fantasy Club where police found evidence of a 7-month-old child living. The Elko Art Foundation is hosting an Elko Art Festival with invited muralists painting 16 murals throughout downtown Elko. Clerk Robinson discussed the upcoming city council election where voters will decide two council members from a slate of three hopefuls.
