3/31/2025 Elko Live - GBC Humanities Center

Katie Karnehm-Esh, HC Coordinator, and Nevada State Poetry Out Loud Winner Kyara Hernandez-Duarte, were guests to promote April events at GBC to celebrate National Latino Poetry Month. Nevada Poet Laureate Shaun Griffin will conduct a workshop and poetry reading on April 14th and will lead a GBC HC Book Club discussion on April 15th. Hernandez-Duarte will perform in Elko April 14 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Western Folklife Center. She will represent Nevada at the Poetry Out Loud competition in Washington DC in May.
