The California Trail Interpretive Center is gearing up for a full slate of spring and summer activities with FREE admission. Events include star gazing, guided hikes, art on display, crafts and education all geared toward immigrant history and the experience of the Native American. The Trail Center is located 8-miles west of Elko, take the Hunter Exit off I-80. Clint Mothershead of the Elko BLM Fire District talked about fire season, mitigation and a planned appearance at the Elko Chamber of Commerce Home Show in May.
